689. Urban Ecosystem Ecology
Hort 689. Topics in Urban Landscape Ecology
is a 3-credit lecture course. We will explore basic concepts and current
topics in urban landscape ecology through assigned readings, classroom
discussion, lectures and slide shows. We will cover both urban and
fragmented ecosystems, from individual plant responses to landscape
scale changes. Students are expected to actively
participate in the discussions, and find, present, and critique recent
literature in the field of urban
plant ecology.
