Course Format - Pertinent Points

-   Friday 11:30, every week, except on Thanksgiving holiday

-  Attendance required - if you must miss, make arrangements with me ahead of time

-  No required text and little outside work

-  10 minute quiz at beginning of each hour

-   Each speaker talks for about 40 minutes

-  You will be asked to prepare a resume (Due September 25)

-    Review Session - 7:00 P.M., Room  102 HFSB, December 3, 2009

-    Final Exam - 11:30 A.M., Room 102 HFSB, December 4, 2009

Grading:

12 quizzes=>10 points each

=>     120 points

A => 90%-100%

 

 

Resume

=>     20 points

B => 80%-89%

 

Final

=>     40 points

C => 70%-79%

 

Total

=>     180 points

D => 60%-69%

-             No quizzes will be dropped and no more than two can be made up without a 20% loss of points, unless absences are officially excused

-             No quizzes can be made up after the start of the review for the final exam

Scholastic Honesty

Aggies do not lie, cheat or steal, nor do they tolerate those who do.

The Aggie Code of Honor states that students at Texas A&M University should value honesty and personal integrity.  Therefore, it is the responsibility of students and faculty members to help maintain scholastic integrity at the University by refusing to participate in or tolerate scholastic dishonesty.  In this course, it is permissible to discuss homework assignments and solutions.  It is not permissible to copy homework solutions (including computer programs) from another student.  It is not permissible to discuss any aspect of any test or examination until all students have completed the exam.  The penalties for violating this policy will range from a ZERO on the assignment or test to an F in the course.
