Undergraduate Certificate Programs

The Department of Horticultural Sciences offers certificates to complement your degree and give you the competitive edge you need to succeed after graduation. Floral Design Certificate

The Floral Design Certificate, offered by the Department of Horticultural Sciences, contains 16 hours of concentrated study in the area of floral design for events, parties, and weddings. The certificate is designed to provide a knowledge base to those individuals who have an interest in pursuing a career or affiliation that encompasses the many and varied aspects of the floral design industry. The certificate is open to all majors, but students should consult with an academic advisor prior to submitting a Floral Design Certificate program application.

Landscape Management Certificate

The Landscape Management Certificate, offered by the Department of Horticultural Sciences, contains 15 hours of concentrated study in the areas of landscape design, construction, and maintenance, turfgrass management, and landscape business operations. The certificate is designed to provide a knowledge base to those individuals who have an interest in pursuing a career that involves landscape management. Viticulture and Enology Certificate

The Viticulture and Enology Certificate, offered by the Department of Horticultural Sciences, contains 15 hours of concentrated study in the areas of viticulture, pre- and post-fermentation winemaking processes, wine etiquette, and sensory evaluation. The certificate is designed to provide a knowledge base to those individuals who have an interest in pursuing a career that involves the wine industry.
