George Ray McEachern

Professional Summary

George Ray McEachern, Ph.D., is a professor and Extension horticulturist emeritus. McEachern received his B.S. and M.S. in Horticulture from Louisiana State University in 1967 and 1969, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Horticulture from Texas A&M University in 1973. Dr. McEachern is a Member of the Graduate Faculty of Texas A&M University, and can serve as a Chair, Co-chair or Member of Graduate Student Advisory Committees. He has been a Member since March 1979. Dr. McEachern’s areas of research include commercial orchard management, chemical weed control, propagation, intensive orchard establishment, variety and rootstock evaluation and fruit quality evaluation.
